What are the Current 2023 Trends in Garden Design?

Sustainable gardening: Is becoming increasingly popular as people look to reduce their environmental impact and create gardens that are low maintenance and water wise. This can include the use of drought - tolerant plants, implementing rain water systems, and using sustainable materials such as reclaimed wood and recycled plastic.

Native Plants: The use of this will create a look in gardens that are more in tune with the local ecosystem. This can include using plants that are native to the area, which can be more resilient and require less maintenance than non- native plants.

Vertical Gardens: Are a great solution to make the most of small spaces. This can include using wall- mounted planters, hanging gardens, and green roofs to create a lush garden in a small space.

Edible gardens: As people look to grow their own food. This can include raised beds, container gardens, and vertical gardens to grow a variety of fruits, vegetables and herbs.

Outdoor living spaces: Creating and extension of their living space by adding outdoor kitchens, fireplaces and seating areas to have a comfortable and functional outdoor space.

Natural and organic forms: The use of natural and organic forms in garden design is becoming more prevalent. this can include the use of undulating lines, natural rock, and incorporate a water feature, such as pools and ponds, to create a more naturalistic and serene environment.

Biophilic design: Its a trend that is becoming more popular, this approach is based on the idea of connecting people to nature, it can include the use of natural elements such as plants, water, wood, to create a more immersive and calming environment.

This trends are important in garden design as they help to create beautiful, functional and sustainable outdoor spaces that can be enjoyed by people all age.
